Chalk This One up to History

If you're Canadian like myself, you've probably had a hard time ignoring recent news stories concerning former Maple Leaf Tie Domi's affair with Liberal member of Parliament and daughter of the CEO of Magna, Belinda Stronach. "Big deal - who cares," you're likely thinking. I know, I'm thinking the same.

What's more interesting is that - and apparantley this is only news to me - Tie Domi was diddling in the world of the Relic Hunter, Tia Carrere. Not that Tia Carrere is the world's hottest woman, but come on... Tie Domi!? This guy:

For those of you unfamiliar with Tie, he is scientifically proven to be the last known Neanderthal Man. There was originally some thought that Domi should be classsified as a Cro-Magnon, but that thinking was quashed when it was realized that he has minimal brain functions.

So, what makes Tie such a ladies man? Good question...

Not many people realize this, but Domi is actually the inspiration behind the hit 1992 film "Encino Man."

He was found frozen in a block of ice outside of Windsor, Ontario when the Toronto Maple Leafs' team bus broke down following a road game in Detroit. It was soon discovered that he not only was a mediocre hockey player, he could also party (so much so that the word "par-tay" was thrown around). Well, we all know how much women are attracted to cavemen. It's their boyish innocence, ignorance to our ways, an inability to speak english - it gets the ladies everytime.
