"Microphone Fiend - I Make Beats do Backflips"

OC has always been one of my favourite rappers. The first song I had ever heard of his was “Burn Me Slow”. It prompted me to purchase the first album of his I could find. Both Word… Life and Jewelz are classics. Some of OC’s more recent material, however, has not been of the same standards. Fortunately the following live album, which features some of his Diggin in the Crates crew members, focuses mostly on songs from his two earliest releases. Last year, OC signed to Hiero Imperium and released Smoke and Mirrors. It wasn’t a classic but it was definitely a step in the right direction.
