Murs the Millionaire

L.A. based rapper Murs has been releasing music since 1993. His first album, F'Real, came out in 1997. His style is much different from mainstream emcees. There is more inflection in his voice than heard in a typical rapper's. In 2001 Murs dropped Murs Rules the World. His talent as a story teller became clear in this release. In 2004, Murs teamed up with 9th Wonder on 3:16 The 9th Edition. Easily his finest release, Murs was finally able to work with production that was on par with his lyrical abilities. The album itself is incredible. Tracks like "Bad Man!", "The Pain", "Freak These Tales" and the amazing "Walk Like a Man" more than cement this release as an underground classic.
